embrace the camera moment

this wee fella is not too well, just a sore tummy, but enough to warrant us to be at home curled up together on the couch...work committments in my headed squashed by a lil man sayin "mama can you sit with me and huggle me?"....of course sweet, paitent, creative, giggly lad, of course.  Such a blessing. x

may i bore you??

came 3rd overall in class and a mention in all curriculum areas! and throughout the year certificates in her sporting areas...

class award and 4!! school trophies for various amazingness + school dux, netball rep and top netball team.

this wee dude got the class award for literacy and numeracy, he should also be given one for spunk and ingenuity....!

they don't do kindy awards, but if they did he'd get one for consitently pushing his personal comfort zones, most imaginative and generally fabulous.

I know its not  nice to brag, but I am so seriously heart-swollen at these kids of ours, the effort they put in, the way they embrace life and give everything their best shot - their leadership skills, nuturing skills and kind hearts - such a proud Mama bear I am.  I am so very thankful for them - each one is a blessing beyond measure.

another new beginning

last week my baby started kindy...not like, super intense kindy, but rather a cruisy 'enrolled- for -3- mornings -but -realistically- turn- up -for -2- if- lucky' kindy.....I didn't blog yet about it as its a bit of a raw spot still. I'm so tempted to lock the doors and never let him outta my site kinda raw spot. He's my baby, my lil hang out buddy, helper and great hugger.....how to let go?? He is pensive, excited, facinated, anxious, thrilled, loves helping his teachers...all in one go. On one hand, he's been a part of the furntiture there for 2 years, firstly in a sling, then as a toddler, now as an official pre-schooler....I should be thrilled for him, after the initial 'you'll be back soon aye mummy' quizz I got from him, he loved his time at kindy....he laughed, he helped his teacher fill up the water troughs, he had story after story, he had his big brother's friend's still at kindy 'look after him'. His sister and brother came to check on him at morning tea (kindy is attached to our little school)....I left him for a whole 1 hour and 20 mins the first day, and then 2 and 1/2 hours the next. I only cried for an hour of the first day and sniffled for 20 mins the next....maybe it'll get easier?? 2 wee lads in the space of 5 days starting new adventures....its a big ask of a Mama's heartstrings....

lions and tigers and bears - oh my!

tis not very often you get to hang out with just one of the sproglets, so when then opportunity came up to go on the kindy trip to the zoo, both Jose and I were very excited, a bus ride and a zoo trip, with my mum joining us is pretty special round these parts!.....usually Mr Man and I, have a minor sqabble over who gets to go and be then cool guy on the trip - but poor him, has ruptured his achellies tendon, so hes' outta action for the summer - boohoo!...its really dumb for us all, him mostly! We had a wee icecream for him though!...

kindy boy

My 3rd bubby started kindy 3 weeks ago....for a whole 2-4 hours a week! Let me tell you this sent me into a spin! But I sucked it up and dutifully crammed his lunch bag full of goodies, and walked him up the hill for his very first day. I was amazed by him....not once did doubt flicker across his face, not once did he look worried or concerned, not once did he cling (and I'm ashamed to say I kinda woulda liked that!)....instead this brave lion-hearted boy of mine, strode in the gates, popped his bag on the hook, went and said 'hi I'm Jose' to the teacher and prompty jumped on the nearest scooter to do 'tricks'. His confidence in his accpetance of others, and them of him, his charm and his flirty wee grin, was for this Mama, amazing to see.

You know what, I felt like my heart would practically burst, with pride, a bit of sad, a sense of joy at watching this wee chick starting to change some of his fluff for feathers. He has now been the grand total of 4 times (in 3 weeks)...he is so exicted about his 'kindys!' ....today when we arrived to pick him up, he patted the kindy play van seat beside him and when I sat down he threw his arms around my neck and said "Mum I missed you- now I'm gonna drive you to the zoo"...and he did; me and his new friend that he can't remember her name. Sweet golden boy, I'm hugely proud of you, and I pray you'll always want to take me to the zoo with you.
