Beach frolicks and germy bugs

Despite a grotty weekend of sick family...the weather was just beautiful and we did mangare to get out and enjoy it between kids coming down with 'the bug'....here some of what we saw....what an amazing way to enjoy the finest company ever in the most beautiful of places...just down the road and round the corner from our place (well 10kms!)....

...I also finished my tote...its made form some beautiful apolstry off cuts and lines with the most bnrilliant taffata for curtaining...a real bargin at this local furninshing shop where they pop everythingout in the bargin bin....I like the end result but probably should've made it a little shorter or a little wider....

....on another note, our dear friends father passed away this weekend so that has been sad...but a relief too as he was in such pain...we rpay that we will know how to comfort and bolster them in a way they need it over the coming time....death is such a big word isn't it? And makes you think of you own mortality...for me this also has a massive hope and peace factor, which I know our friends Dad experinced in the last week of his life, when he became a believer....

Foxgloves and bubbleblowing

well today was a busy one...we packed the girls off to school and then cleaned up round here a bit...went for a wander round our wee section, and was delighted once again to see our lovely apricot foxgloves, they are just so pretty so thought I'd share a bit of sweetness with you....while baby was napping we went on a worm hunt and found one dilegently burrowing away, so we gave him a pat (um a little to rough Jose!) and popped him back to burrow some more....bubbles occupied the wee lad for a bit more of the more till 'oh no...I spilled myself', floated in from the deck, and sure enough short of blowing on him to make the bubbles, it was the end of that game....sigh. Such a nice mild day though and when Micah woke up we went for a wee wander down the road and then was time to explore the grasss and to see what daisy's taste like...a quite day, which was lovely, as tomorrow will be 'all hands on deck'....oh finished a bag that i was making today and will pop a pic up tomorrow or so....

Hello.

Hey there everyone,
I'm a total novice at this blogging business...and am bound to totally goof up on it, tonnes!
But thought what a wonderful way to use some of the 'words' i seem to have and record all the delicious little things my lovely little family does, for remembering later on.

I live in a little town on the East coast of the beautiful 'land of the long white cloud' New Zealand...we live 10kms away from stunning beaches and love to tinker down there weekly at least.

I am blessed enough to have 4 beautiful kiddies, 2 gals and 2 wee lads (I like things in patterns!) 2 blue eyed and 2 brown...and have a gorgeous and very lovely husband, a dog, 2 cats, 2 fish and 2 water snails....oh and a fledgling vege garden, so life is full of sorting, cooking, caring, washing, watering and the like, with bits of time snatched to create various things for my neices and newphew and sometimes for my wee web shop...so life is FULL, and wonderful.
